Take the Right Yoke

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matt 11:30

Are trying to shed off your burdens?  This life is full of challenges and difficulties.  What should we do? We can still take our worries to God. The video below is a great illustration of how the devil wants to keep you.

Have you ever found yourself going back to your old habits?  Satan wants you to go back to the sinful (think of the ox and the yoke) that you used to do.  Don’t let your past determine your future.  Do not be a prisoner of your past mistakes.  It’s time now for those bricks of mistakes to fall like the Berlin Wall.  God will use you and your experiences to help others.  God has placed you where He wants you to be.  Do not give into the lure of sin.  Remember, you are a new creation in God.  In other words, you are a new person.  As a new person in Christ your behavior must change.

Lets flip the script.  Previously, we were trained to do sinful behavior (cheating, lying, foul language, etc.). Our challenge now is to live out the new behaviors (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness)The challenge will be hard but please know that your Father will never leave nor forsake you.  Guess what?  We are more than capable of overcoming these difficulties through the power of God.  Do not be like the ox in the video and willingly strap on his yoke of “burden.”  Jesus said, “My yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Make this week an incredible one.  Christ died and raised for you!  Live out your faith.  This week is your chance to change your life and your legacy.

Stay strong.  Stay in the faith.  Let me know how you do this week
